Brief, concrete description of his feat of arms or achievements:

Guards Petty Officer First Class Svishchov took part in all combat operations undertaken by the ship at Odessa and Sevastopol, the landing operations at Feodosia and Sudak, at Novorossiysk, as well as in coastal operations near enemy ports and lines of communication.

During the landing at Sudak Guards Petty Officer First Class Svishchov was designated as the commander of one of the ships' boats that disembarked landing troops in the Novy Svet bight. Comrade Svishchov accomplished the disembarkation mission with distinction. The boat's crew, headed by Petty Officer First Class Svishchov, stayed in the boat, all wet, until all men of the landing units had disembarked. A large rolling wave prevented the boats from approaching the shore and there was constant danger of the boat being thrown against the shore. However, the boat's crew and their petty officer made their way to iced-over waters, held the boat in place, and assisted the landing troops in carrying their equipment and ammunition onto the shore, in spite of the cold.

During a combat operation near the island of Fiodonisi, an enemy mine was cut by the paravane that was prepared and deployed by Guards Petty Officer First Class Svishchov, owing to which the ship and other vessels sailing on this course were saved from being blown up in the minefield. He was also the first to spot a drifting mine and quickly reported this to the bridge, enabling the ship to perform the necessary maneuver and warn the vessels following astern of the danger.

In combat he has proven to be a bold, decisive, and resourceful team leader.

For his exemplary duties at his battle station, for his steadfastness, bravery, and courage, and for the exemplary execution of combat missions I nominate him for the Order of the Patriotic War, 2nd Class.
