Brief, concrete description of his feat of arms or achievements:

During the fighting against the German and Romanian invaders, comrade Korneichuk acted bravely and courageously. On August 20, 1944, during the breakthrough of the multi-layered Romanian and German lines of defense, he administered first aid to enlisted men, non-commissioned officers, and officers under heavy enemy machine-gun, artillery, and mortar fire. He personally evacuated 19 severely wounded troops and their weapons off of the battlefield.

In combat on August 29, 1944, when the enemy was pursued, he administered first aid to 20 severely wounded men and commanders and carried them and their weapons off of the battlefield.

Conclusion: For his concern he showed for the wounded during the offensive operations and the bravery and heroism he displayed in the process, he deserves the Order of the Red Star.
