Short, concrete description of his feat of arms or accomplishments:
Major Andryunin, serving with the Political Section as a senior instructor tasked with
disintegrating the enemy forces, organized the disruptive efforts during the offensive in the direction of the city of
Riga, using all available means of agitation. He broadcasted agitational messages employing political officers with
megaphones, who were active within the units, and using sound installations installed in the trenches. He made
skillful use of three captured Latvian soldiers to disintegrate a Latvian division.
Moreover, in his capacity as representative of the division's Political Section, Major Andryunin
vigorously organized the party-political activities within the battalions; straight on the battlefield he displayed
bravery and courage in the process.
For his vigorous efforts to disintegrate the enemy forces, his practical assistance to the units'
political officers during the fighting, as well as for the bravery and courage he displayed during the capture of
Riga, I apply for Major Andryunin to be awarded the Order of the Patriotic War, 2nd Class.
