Brief, concrete description of his feat of arms or achievements:
Major I.S. Shcherbak is an excellent officer who is actively involved in organizing the Army's
combat operations. Directly among the frontline units he repeatedly verified if combat instructions from Army command
were carried out. While carrying out an assignment in the 199th Rifle Division on December 23, 1943 he was wounded,
but he stayed with the Division until the battle had ended, having successfully accomplished the task assigned to
him.
He deserves to be awarded the Order of the Red Banner.
