Short, concrete description of his combat feat or merits:

During the latest offensive in East Prussia, comrade Minayev showed himself a bold and courageous soldier, possessing a thorough understanding of his specialty. Near the city of Rastenburg he risked his life under heavy rifle, machine-gun, artillery, and mortar fire to repair 17 breaks in the communications cable, thus guaranteeing uninterrupted communications between his battery and the battalion commander. During the fighting for the village of Petershagen, while a counterattack was under way, comrade Minayev risked his life under heavy enemy rifle and machine-gun fire to repair 11 breaks in the communications cable, thus guaranteeing uninterrupted communications and allowing our units to hold the village of Petershagen. In the process he killed 7 enemy soldiers with his personal weapon. Comrade Minayev deserves the Order of the Patriotic War, 2nd Class.
