Comrade I.P. Bondarenko is a resourceful soldier who is capable of taking initiative. He is
dedicated to the Party of Lenin and Stalin and the socialist motherland.
During repair activities comrade I.P. Bondarenko has shown great selflessless. He has mastered his
specialty of railroad trackman to perfection.
Between December 12 and 18, 1942 he worked on gauging the Europe-Korea Railroad Line in the Velikiye
Luki-Novosokolniki sector. Frequently subjected to enemy air raids and under enemy artillery and mortar fire he showed
examples of bravery and courage, exceeding the target norms by 120-190 percent. By inspiring his fellow troops he
ensured that assignments were carried out in a timely manner.
Comrade I.P. Bondarenko deserves to be awarded the Medal for Combat Merit.
