Short, concrete description of his feat of arms or accomplishments:

Comrade Abramov has been taking part in the Patriotic War since July 12, 1941, serving on the Western, Stalingrad, Southern, North Caucasus, 4th Ukrainian, and 3rd Baltic Fronts. He has been occuping his current position since December 1942.

The day he arrived at the division, comrade Abramov, being an experienced expert in air navigation, set about examining the knowledge of navigational matters among senior personnel of the division's regiments, as well as the regular airmen, in which he displayed a great deal of assertiveness and willpower. With a view to inspecting the aircrews' navigational skills, comrade Abramov flew 25 successful combat sorties.

For training and preparing the aircrews in an excellent manner and for flying 16 combat sorties he has been awarded the Order of the Red Banner. Following his latest award comrade Abramov has flown another 9 combat sorties. Furthermore, he has conducted several weather reconnaissance sorties along the routes to be taken by the ground-attack aircraft during their combat missions.

Possessing extensive experience in air navigation, he has earned the confidence of and gained authority among the division's aircrews because of his hands-on attitude and his knowledge of navigation theory.

Over the course of the intense operations conducted in the summer of 1943 and the spring and summer of 1944, 160 young airmen entered service under the guidance of comrade Abramov. As a result of his painstaking efforts to train the airmen and his systematic checks of their knowledge of the area of operations and their flight preparations, during the liberation of the Baltics alone the division's aircrews conducted 1015 successful combat sorties, without committing any orientation errors or hitting friendly troops.

For training and preparing the aircrews in an excellent manner, for the 9 successful combat sorties he has flown himself, and for the valor and bravery he has displayed in the process, he deserves this nomination for the Order of the Patriotic War, 2nd Class.
